I've spent 2 decades in residential architectural, design and construction occupations. I have been in the engineered wood business designing, training and in sales and support for 15 years, the past 7 of those with Boise Cascade Engineered Wood Products. I'm dedicated to comprehensive understanding of engineered wood products, appropriate usage, benefits, proper design and installation methods to provide exceptional structures. My a background in architectural studies and real world construction experience, as well as, residential floor design and training loading methodology, structural design and analysis software allow me to help architects, engineers, builders, dealers and inspectors in the wood construction field.

As an Owner at Your Empowered Solutions, I am involved in all aspects of the business from marketing & sales, to operating and financial aspects, beyond the leadership, organizing, and training skills used with our customers, to assist them in the transformation of their business and accomplishment of their goals.

•Train software and structural design online and in person, one on one and with groups. Provide expertise and consultation on 5 different proprietary software programs for use with BIM, structural design, inventory management and architectural/structural construction layout purposes.•Create training documents, presentations, update procedures, and customization guidelines. •Test software and analyze for appropriate load distributions and developed best practices for operation.•Provide software support and troubleshoot software and structural design problems for approximately 35 exterior customers and 25 internal customers.•Create and facilitate demonstrations to customers on features, advantages, and usability of software prior to customer purchase. (converted 14 of 15 customer locations to new software purchase)•Compile and update monthly customer and training reports. Document and record customer interaction in database for future reference.•Plan periodic customer training classes, make arrangements for facilities, accommodations for attendees and coordinate travel schedules.•Apply Continuous Improvement Process training, Lean and Sigma Six principles and techniques to internal customer and design processes to advance efficiency and reduce waste.•Comprehend Structural design methods and calculations, IRC Code requirements, Basic Engineering and Statics principles, and customer requests to develop required Structural Design Solutions.•Translate detailed written technical structural installation materials and diagrams into Spanish for bilingual training and verbally translate technical presentations for Spanish speaking attendees.

•Design residential plans, including elevations, floor and foundation plans, joist, and rafter layouts.•Develop and use architectural knowledge to review and edit elements of residential design. •Prepare, layout, revise, and plot architectural and construction documents, using AutoCAD.

•Provide layout design of commercial and residential sites and including paving, drainage, sanitary and storm utilities. •Prepare exhibits, surveys and engineering construction documents using AutoCAD and SurvCADD.
