Originally from San Luis Obispo, California, Jamie Henry, Esq. has made Northern Nevada her home for over 20 years. She attended Douglas High School, and graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR), magna cum laude, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish. Although Ms. Henry has lived in the Reno/Sparks area for most of her life, she did have the opportunity to travel through Europe with her husband as part of her curriculum to obtain a degree in Spanish. Traveling continues to be one of her favorite pastimes.After graduating from UNR, Ms. Henry attended California Western, School of Law, located in San Diego, California. After graduating law school in two years at the top of her class, she interned for a local criminal defense attorney while she studied for the bar exam. After passing the Nevada bar exam, Ms. Henry began practicing law with a civil litigation defense firm. While she loved her time in the field of civil litigation, she knew in her heart that she was a family law attorney. Over the last three years, Ms. Henry has accumulated a significant amount of general court appearances, domestic hearings, and has been lead counsel in several bench trials. In February of 2013, Ms. Henry was awarded an indigent defense contract in Douglas County, Nevada. Ms. Henry has experience in representing clients on a range of offenses, from misdemeanors to felonies. From DUI violations to assault and battery to felony theft and burglary, Ms. Henry can assist you from the initial hearing to an appeal.
