Owner and Founder of Brickies Club Limited, a business that specialises in delivering brick building play experiences using LEGO elements. Brickies Club was established in 2015 and has been built on a passion for promoting learning through play. As a hands-on business owner I am committed to delivering engaging, fun and memorable experiences for everyone that participates in a Brickies activity. My role is to ensure that we can provide brick building fun to as many children and adults as possible.I manage a small team of Play Practitioners that deliver activities at our purpose built Play Centre in Wokingham, on-site in schools, corporate events, community groups, parties, adult team building and much more. During my time as a business owner of Brickies I have developed a deep understanding of running children after school clubs both in schools and out. I understand the responsibilities and duty of care we have as a business to ensure our safeguarding standards are never compromised. I have developed educational workshops using LEGO bricks that tie into curriculum based topics. We deliver these inside schools and at our centre for Home Education students. I have built a network of professional contacts within the local education sector that enables to offer learning through play activities as alternative provision, PPA cover or just to bring life to a topic.My goal as a business owner and as an advocate for play is to reach as large an audience as possible. Over the years we have formed strong relationships with large family festivals such as Camp Bestival. We have worked with big brands such as Daikin to provide fun and educational activities to help create awareness of their missions.My experience of working in the corporate sector as a Group Marketing manager has enabled me to work closely with brands to deliver an activity that helps hit their goals.By harnessing my experience of working within the learning and development sector for many years I have developed Team Building activities that are tailored to meet specific client needs. We have worked with brands such as Bupa, Mamas and Papas, NHS, Guide Dogs Association and many SMEs. My mission is to ensure that everyone has access to play and understands the power it can have not just for mental health but to encourage creative thinking and problem solving.
