I'm a strategic communications leader who brings a blend of resourcefulness, creativity, and empathy to everything I do. My expertise lies in big-picture thinking and transforming complex information into impactful narratives. I excel in building teams that focus on delivering measurable and insightful communications. We don’t just deliver messages; we craft compelling, integrated communications that engage and inspire change.Like many careers in communications, mine happened almost by accident. My plan to become a screenwriter while majoring in film production at university (which instilled a love visual storytelling, respect for a good brief, and sparked a life-long love of Sci-Fi movies) took a turn just after graduation when I quit my part-time job to travel South-East Asia. I picked up some freelance writing work out of necessity and fell in love with it. I continued for 10 years while I travelled, finished a Master of Arts and a Graduate Diploma in Journalism, did stints in event management for children’s publishing, and non-profit communications, and relocated from Australia to Canada. After taking a role as managing editor for an innovation, design, and business magazine published by an agency in Toronto – a role that included copy-editing agency deliverables, and branding and naming work – my attention necessarily turned to marketing the magazine. An excellent way to refine my skills in integrated communications. After moving on to become speechwriter for the CEO and Board of Directors at a large corporate foundation, my role quickly expanded to editorial communications, channel strategy, video production and web management and culminated in a management role developing and leading the content and branding teams. Almost eight years in this organisation took me all over the world, and allowed me to refine skills across strategic communications, public affairs, and advocacy. I relocated to Denmark in early 2022 to continue my communications career at LEGO Foundation, where I focus on communications strategy and processes, organisational strategy, and global campaigns.
