As a tenured museum professional, I lead the efforts to develop and implement strategies, programs, and partnerships that foster diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion (DEAI) in the museum and the community. I have over 20 years of experience in historical interpretation, managing teams, volunteer program management, and community engagement, with a Master of Arts degree in History from Old Dominion University.My core competencies include training course development, program delivery, coaching and mentoring, and cultivating meaningful relationships with Indigenous and underserved Virginia communities. I am passionate about advocating for an equal voice in our shared history and creating a more inclusive and respectful museum environment. I have proven results in working across functional areas and developing teams to work collaboratively to meet objectives.
