My strategy for WH Allen is to publish the best non-fiction writing, the most gripping stories and the most compelling big ideas by fascinating, unique authors.Over recent years my publishing has both won major literary prizes and achieved breakout commercial success. Jack Fairweather’s The Volunteer was both the overall Costa Book of the Year and also the second-biggest paperback across the entire non-fiction market in the year it was published. James O’Brien’s How to be Right won the Parliamentary Book Award but also sold over a quarter of million copies. Adam Grant’s Think Again was on numerous best books of the year lists and has now sold over a million copies around the world.
