AnyDesk is a late-stage startup that develops remote desktop access software that has been downloaded hundreds of millions of times worldwide.As a full-time member of the Talent Acquisition team, I worked 40+ hours per week, leveraging strong relationships with senior leadership to drive recruitment efforts. Avicon was an early-stage software services Startup that specialized in developing customized software solutions in the Supply Chain Management sector.I was hired as a full life cycle Contract Recruiter following my departure from WinterWyman. Shortly after joining as a contractor, Avicon offered me a full-time role as Senior Technical Recruiter, where I became the sole technical recruiter responsible for high-volume recruitment of Software Engineers, Database Developers, Integration, and Implementation Engineers.

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, I frequently collaborated with the Sales Engineering team, assisting them in converting technical product specifications into persuasive pitches for potential customers. Given my affinity for technology, I found a natural fit in Engineering Sales, which led me to transition to a Software Recruiter role at WinterWyman, now Planet Technology. At that time, WinterWyman was the leading contingency search firm for software startups in the Boston area.As a full-life cycle Software Recruiter, my responsibilities included generating new clients, specifically software startups that were seeking new hires and were willing to pay an agency fee. Additionally, I was responsible for sourcing new candidates, both passive and active, who were seeking full-time employment in the software industry. This role required me to "smile and dial," as internet recruitment was in its nascent stages, and cold calling was still a primary recruitment method for both clients and candidates.To generate new business, I purchased a Voter Registration directory from the City of Cambridge and created index cards for anyone whose occupation was listed as a Software/Data Engineer. I then spent at least three hours a day "smiling and dialing" to reach out to potential clients. My efforts eventually paid off when I connected with a CTO at a startup called TradeOut, which became a significant client for me and my team. In just one month, we placed six software engineers at TradeOut.
