Jamie was responsible for setting the network-wide vision for growth and impact, securing the necessary resources to implement that vision, and recruiting the team needed to ensure the highest quality youth employment services and job outcomes were achieved and ensured through rigorous performance management.Jamie represented EFE on all of its affiliate boards, including as Vice-Chairman of the EuropEFE Board of Directors. He served as chief spokesperson to the public and media, as well as chief strategist to ensure that knowledge of EFE’s mission and impact was fact-based and widespread.During his tenure at EFE, Jamie established EFE as the leading network of nonprofits dedicated to youth employment in MENA and stewarded the organization from an early pilot phase (1000 youth in jobs in first five years) through its first significant growth period, resulting in 10,000 youth in jobs in 2016 and tens of thousands more with the needed skills to get a job. Under Jamie's leadership, EFE expanded its business, government, and educational partnerships from a few dozen to over 2000 and raised over $25M to accelerate EFE’s impact across the Middle East & North Africa. Over the six years of Jamie's leadership, the organization added four new countries: Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Algeria and became a global reference model for demand-driven youth employment, informing the work of many others (including McKinsey's Generation youth initiative) winning international awards, and garnering attention in numerous reports and media stories.

The Edna McConnell Clark Foundation (EMCF) seeks to transform the life trajectories of America’s most neglected youth by making large, long-term investments, frequently in partnership with other funders, in programs with a potential for growth and compelling evidence they can help more young people become successful, productive adults.Hired as one of EMCF's first Portfolio Managers to develop and implement a pioneering grantmaking approach to scale proven youth development nonprofits, Jamie was a senior team member reporting to the President. In addition to managing a $30 million plus grantee portfolio, Jamie provided strategic counsel to nonprofit CEOs and trustees of youth-serving nonprofits, including Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, the Center for Employment Opportunities (NY's largest provider of job services to the formerly incarcerated), Good Shepherd Services, one of NYC’s largest and most-respected youth services agencies.Jamie also worked closely with EMCF partner, The Bridgespan Group, overseeing its services to EMCF grantees, including the development of sector-leading business plans for growth. Jamie built the Foundation’s first talent and leadership grantee support strategy, including executive search, coaching, board development, talent management, and peer learning and managed teams of senior and junior staff to implement the Foundation’s investment approach.
