The Office of International Affairs applies knowledge of energy technologies, markets, and policies to advance U.S. objectives in energy security, clean energy deployment, and national security worldwide.Primary duties:• Manage international programs and contracts for a portfolio of federally funded clean energy projects, studies, research, and roadmaps initiated by the State Department, USAID, and DOE.• Maintain strategic relationships and foster collaborations with energy counterparts from 10 nations, 3 multi-governmental organizations, and international companies and trade organizations.• Interface and coordinate with U.S. Government agencies (State Department, USAID, Commerce, USTDA, USACE, EPA, Treasury) to advance energy objectives and drive sound policies for global clean energy development and deployment of U.S. energy services, commodities, and technologies.• Plan, execute, and present in government-to-government energy policy dialogues, public-private energy investment roundtables, and multilateral workshops, technical trainings, and seminars.• Lead in-depth analyses for comprehensive and long-term energy policy planning and strategy development, looking at international policies, market trends, investment and trade issues and their impact on U.S. national security, foreign policy and trade policy objectives overseas.• Develop policies, strategies, and options aimed at enhancing exports and market penetration of U.S. energy services, commodities, equipment, technology, and innovations in the global economy.• Draft comprehensive briefings, speeches, and testimony given by the Secretary, Deputy Secretary, Under Secretary, Assistant Secretary, and other senior DOE officials.• Contribute to, compile, and maintain the U.S.-ASEAN Energy Cooperation Work Plan 2016-2020, a strategic roadmap of collaborative multiagency activities on clean and renewable energy, as well as energy efficiency, security, infrastructure, and markets.

Sea Breeze Power Corp, a renewable energy developer, pursues the integration of solar energy and energy storage into remote, islanded power grids worldwide to displace expensive and contentious diesel power generation.• Led feasibility studies of 50-500kW solar and solar-storage hybrid projects in regions worldwide, to include:-site selection and real estate, -resource assessment, -energy forecasting, -financial modeling (NPV, IRR, LCOE, LCCA), -project scoping, -system design, -grid integration, -local and national government policies, and -environmental concerns.• Designed and troubleshot methods for maximizing energy production and energy independence while minimizing resources, system costs and environmental impact of replicable solar energy and energy-storage hybrid systems in existing fossil fuel grids.• Drafted and reviewed RFP responses, stakeholder reports and grant proposals, with emphasis on technology, design elements, and competitive differentiation.• Scoped target markets for potential customers of product portfolio offerings.• Contributed to company technology roadmap, capabilities, and processes.
