I originally started my training with Rickard Keen as a school leaver in 2003 before leaving the company in 2008 to gain experience with a Top 25 firm.I returned to the Southend-on-Sea office in April 2011 having qualified as a chartered accountant and became a director at Rickard Keen in October 2014.A qualified AAT, ACA and CTA, I was a national ACA prize-winner for two separate Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) papers in 2006, securing a place on the ICAEW order of merit and 1st place regionally for the ACA advanced stage exams.In 2012 I was named as the Young Chartered Accountant of the Year in the ICAEW South Essex Accountancy and Business Awards, and in 2014 featured on the Accountancy Age 35 under 35 list.I am a member of the ICAEW and Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT), a member of the CIOT Essex Branch Committee as well as the CIOT Generation Y Group.A specialist in tax, I advise a range of clients on Corporation Tax, VAT, employment taxes, partnerships and the taxation of owner-managed businesses.My commitment to building long-lasting relationships with existing clients is reflected in the satisfaction I gain from meeting them on a regular basis and helping them plan for a successful future.Outside of work, I am a fan of most sports, in particular football, golf and cycling. I am married to wife Nicola, and have three young children.
