I started Songpainting Muse as a promotion and opinion blog on my website with its launch in 2010. The Word Press platform is user friendly,and the overall design is aesthetically in keeping with my image. I work in many areas of the arts, and want to keep current and provide my audience and clients news, events and features on my blog. I easily post links from the blog on FACEBOOK, Mail Chimp enews,and drive traffic to my site, where readers can be further engaged. Search engine placement is good as well. In October 2014 I began a news blog series entitled Voices of Roots Salon, profiling the excellent artists I present in my Roots Salon and presenting samples of their work. The "Voices" blogs will provide material for an audio series I am starting inspired by my friend ,the late Studs Terkel, who believed in the voice of the individual and valued artists as powerful, political beings. I am co-producing a Salon Series this year, modeled on the Salons I present in my home. St. John's and I present End of Life/Afterlife, a four day arts festival October 24-27 2014. And the art show runs until Nov 23, 12014. This ambitious community project involves over 30 performing and visual artistsand writers, a program of American writers and original work.
