Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

• Reporting directly to Regional Project controller Houston, project managed Upper Zakum $12 Billion production expansion project, which included construction of four islands and production facilities. Key Achievements:
• Achieved a $700M reduction in reported capital expenditure and closer alignment to USGAAP, IFRS and ExxonMobil practices, by influencing the operating company to change their accrual guidelines.
• Improved control environment through active mentoring of staff in the Abu Dhabi office resulting in the elimination of an 18 month delay in invoicing services to the operating company, as a result of improved processes.

• Supervised a team of 5 and conducted Management reporting for the PNG LNG $15 Billion project to build an LNG Plant in Port Moresby, processing facilities in the Highlands and a connecting pipeline. Key Achievements:
• Led non-operator project audits for two years, resulting in zero claims to the company.
• Reduced reported cost of Project by $100M by identifying and correcting errors in the Forex Accruals calculation spreadsheets.

• Managed over 70 production and exploration joint ventures, 15 direct reports, accounting entry reviews, accruals, joint venture statements, cash calls and reconciliations. Key Achievements:
• Renegotiated Gippsland Basin Joint Venture Operating Agreement, including detailed cost benefit analysis of changes to ensure a fair outcome for both parties resulting in the implementation of a modern style agreement.
• Negotiated settlement of long outstanding audit issues by providing justification and understanding of past accounting treatments to joint venture partners and successful coordination of non-operator audits.
• Successfully led operations accounting team through the implementation of a SAP upgrade project, ensuring that all data was migrated and structured in the most efficient and accurate manner.
• Provided and explained cost drivers, allocations and data to the business line which formed the basis for decisions making during a successful cost reduction initiative.
