• Charge Nurse: Organize staff/patient assignments, manage admissions and discharges, supervise and guide other nurses, assess and manage own patient load, and encourage a culture that promotes staff productivity.• Active in the department as a member of the chemotherapy comity, sunshine club, superuser for chest tubes and insulin drips.• Work collaboratively with oncologists, hospitalists, teaching service, and all other specialties to manage acutely ill patients through assessment, medication administration, and performed and assisted in medical procedures.

• Worked as part of a team including physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and medical assistants, tomonitor and treat patients seeking care.• Assisted in medical procedures performed by physicians and nurse practitioners such as suturing, foreign bodyremoval, and wound debridement.• Performed EKGs, joint splinting, wound care, ear irrigation, IM injections, among other tasks.

• Worked closely with the providers throughout the oncology service line as an oncology float CMA assisting in sterileprocedures such as lumbar punctures ad bone marrow biopsies and interacted with patients both in clinic and over thephone.• Utilized electronic medical record to electronically order labs, medical supplies, and refill prescriptions.• Monitored and recorded patient vital signs, medications, lab values, and symptoms to prepare them for the physician.• Worked outside of clinic hours to assist in data entry for current cancer research studies being conducted within theorganization.
