About Jamie Wood

To date I have had the privilege to work with some inspirational people at some great venues. I constantly strive to further myself and having graduated as PGA Assistant of the Year in 2005 I have followed the PGA learning pathway achieving the Certificate of Golf Management and Director of Golf certification as well as being awarded PGA Fellow Professional status which was subsequently upgraded to PGA Executive Manager under the APAL restructure in 2021.In 2015 I was invited to attend the R&A Level 3 Tournament Administrator and Referee course in Malaysia. Most recently I have embarked on the CMAE Management Development Program which I hope will provide me with new experiences and a broader spectrum of skills in order to take the next step in my career.Working at The Belfry in close proximity to the PGA Headquarters I was exposed to many varied aspects of the golf business and I made a conscious decision to experience as many of these as possible first hand in order to truly understand them. I believe that doing so has given me a well rounded knowledge of the golf industry and a strong desire to learn more.I have enjoyed working within well established businesses with existing structures, policies and procedures, but have also had the opportunity and challenge of establishing these from scratch. Throughout everything I pride myself on attention to detail.
