In this technical role, I equipped 600+ government employees and 47 government offices, including the animal shelter, by providing desktop and notebook support using Windows OS in Active Directory environment. I also installed and supported PC hardware and software, including Microsoft Office product; configured and supported network, including routers, switches, and printers; and maintained/administered Microsoft 365 email. I also supported security measures by overseeing Fortinet Fortigate firewall, spam filtering, and routing, VPN, and Wi-Fi. My Selected Contributions:☑ I promoted flexibility and efficiency while reducing barriers to accessing critical information by championing migration from Microsoft Access to Animal Shelter Manager records software after evaluating and testing competing products. Directed conversion and data migration. ☑ I secured a $1.2M grant and leading project to evaluate, compare, adopt, and implement computer-aided dispatch and records management software (Caliber, formerly InterAct) for county-wide public safety department usage.☑ I demonstrated leadership skills by filling management role during absences, boosting efficiency, productivity, and quality by delegating tasks and managing operational goals. ☑ I mitigated a significant ransomware event that impacted all county files and data while preventing future ransomware attacks by decrypting and scanning numerous files and documents.☑ A part of the work I did was to safeguarded systems and data by leveraging web-based software to evaluate whether employees would open phishing emails and enroll those who did in cybersecurity training.
