Working under the Medical Director &HSA for Epidemiology/Infectious Disease to develop a system of care that promotes sound and scientific infection prevention principles and practices. As a Director Of Infection Prevention: to develop, implement and evaluate annual infection prevention goals and action plan(s) throughout the facility (One of MD’s largest prions - 3900 Capacity through 3 Compounds)• Partners with key internal and external stakeholders (leaders, physicians, local, state, and national agencies) on performance improvement activities related to infection prevention • Oversees the operations of the infection prevention, epidemiology, and relevant safety programs throughout the facility (as representatives in flu readiness and fit- testing initiatives) • Directs and participates in surveillance, trend analysis, and reporting of healthcare associated and community associated infections • Participates in the state and national collaboratives in support of external reporting to the CDC
