Project Manager- Neighborhood Services
Current• Works with city officials and other community building partners on the implementation ofrecommendations of the Highland Neighborhood Transformation Plan.• Works with the community partners and city officials to design and implement communityretention strategies to ensure that displacement does not occur as a result of the Highlandneighborhood redevelopment.• Collaborate with development partners in the predevelopment process for projects.• Assist neighborhood organizations in advocacy, including cleanups, community safety, andothers.• Provide educational opportunities to Highland based community organizations so that theirexpertise grows enabling them to increase their responsibilities in the neighborhoodredevelopment process.• Building capacity of neighborhood organization(s).• Coordinate with property owners in the redevelopment of residential and commercialproperties in alignment with the plan.• Work with city officials and developers to coordinate infrastructure improvements for theneighborhood as a priority for funding.• Assist/lead with the city, local, and philanthropic agencies in the application of funding.• Coordinate with city/local agencies on the development of open space projects.• Through proactive community development, maintain knowledge of the philanthropic,nonprofit, and public health sectors (nationally, regionally, and locally), including advocatingfor community residents to attend professional meetings and conferences, learning about andobserving the practices of other community organizations, and keeping abreast of theprofessional literature.,• Connecting diverse parties by serving a the point person (neighborhood residents, investors, organizations and institutions) to the redevelopment effort,providing staff support, leveraging investment from local, regional, and national sources,assisting with future plans for redevelopment, and serving as the liaison, along with HNTC tonational partner working with Highland.
