PROJECT: "Design and construction of the Third Set of Locks", main project of the Panama Canal Expansion Program.Project Engineer within Civil Works Production Department asigned to the Lock Head 3 & adjacent monoliths at the Pacific Site, with the following undertaken responsabilities: • Production activities management oriented to achieve the schedule and cost objetives.• Surveyance and control of subcontractors (Tecozam & Armatek) to ensure that the works are carried out according to the technical specifications without wasting of materials, means and equipment.• Responsible for quality pre-control during the pre-pour, pouring and curing stages. Proposal and development of technical solutions for specific problems during the works execution.• Redaction and management of the necesary documentation to guarantee that correct procedures and materials are used.Within the construction of the Third Set of Locks, Lock Head 3 (PAC site) is the structure that will host the locks #5 and #6, isolating Middle and Lower Chambers. Lock Head 3 (PAC site) is composed by 163.000 m3 of structural concrete and is divided into 19 independent monolith subdivided in 355 lifts aproximately.
