A Biomedical Engineer with over ten years of field experience in customer facing roles in the medical device industry as a Field Service Engineer for the Medical Division of Hewlett-Packard and as a Paramedic for the Gilbert Fire Department.Early in my career at HP I managed a multi-million-dollar installation in west Texas. It was a two-year project where I became skilled at building and maintaining relationships with both clinical and technical stakeholders. I earned the Field Service Engineer award for our region for my hard work there. After 11 years at HP I decided it was time to pursue my lifelong dream of becoming a firefighter. I loved the physical, mental, and emotional challenges woven into this job. I learned to appreciate regulatory guidelines and SOPs by implementing them daily. I helped prepare the Engineer/Driver test testing and training protocol dossier.I truly enjoyed my career as a firefighter/paramedic. However, my husband became very ill about the same time we had children. I eventually took a part-time position as a Patent Researcher. I focus mainly on Medical Devices and Methods. This career has allowed me to contribute to advancing healthcare by researching and writing technical reports concerning the patentability of our clients’ ideas. I was also able to care for my husband and raise our children. This time in my career required excellent time management skills as well as creative problem solving. :-)Advancing Healthcare | Medical Device Support | Customer Service | Clinical Support | Technical Writing| Medical Writing |Relationship Building |Standard Operating Procedures |
