Specific responsibilities are listed below. Services Management• Evaluate and improve clinic systems, including data monitoring and tracking.• Coordinate the placement of medical/health related volunteers with the Volunteer Coordinator and clinic leaders. • Strengthen the network hospital/clinic/laboratory and NGO partners. • Improve systems and protocols used to track patients with chronic or special conditions who require follow up at our clinics or are referred outside the clinic for surgeries or treatments.Volunteer medical teams:• Work closely with Volunteer Coordinator to maintain strong communication with volunteer medical team leaders to help them plan their time of service with ODIM.• Coordinate the work of interpreters for medical teams.• Prepare lists of medicines and supplies to be brought to ODIM by visiting teams and individuals.• Assist in the process of filling out customs paperwork necessary to bring medicines into Guatemala. • Lead the process of referring patients to other medical facilities for care.Administration:• Improve systems of inventory and ordering of medicines and supplies.• Receive quarterly reports from clinic employees; unify them for submission to Executive Director and the Board of Directors.• Purchase items needed for clinic operations. • Create annual budget for clinic operation.• Receive patient donation income.Personnel Management:• Hire, support and supervise clinic personnel including medical providers, receptionists, pharmacists, health specialists, dentists and dental hygienists. • Encourage staff to engage in professional development/ continuing education opportunities• Conduct annual evaluations and monthly “check-ins” with clinic staff.• Co-facilitate clinic staff meetings.• Coordinate weekly staff training and team-building events.• Direct the annual patient survey and create a summary report.
