I love learning.I have been lucky enough to learn a ton of varied skills in my working life, from accounting clerk to accounts manager, traning manager and higher manager in HR for the UK Ministry of Defence.I have advanced spreadsheet and word processing skills and was once described as the spreadsheet whizz! I have worked with people along the way, including students at a high school I also had the role of a governor at my children's school.Recent years since 2014, have seen me freelancing as a virtual assistant with a specialist role in customer service and training new staff, as well as qualifying and working as a TEFL teacher, (teaching English as a foreign language).My array of skills also include website design and maintenance, working with WordPress, Drupal Joomla in my 20 years of experience in this field where I also learned to manipulate graphics. I also retouch photos and can video edit for YouTube. I am a great accepter of challenges and am happy to find out how to solve problems and to learn new ways of working to get a job done.Not only do I love learning for my working life but also in my free time. Every year I have set myself challenges to learn something new. They have included:Motorbike (I learned to ride a 650 cc motorbike and have my licence).Horse riding.Singing.Revisiting and upgrading my crochet skills.Soap and toiletries making.Ukulele playing.Clarinet playing.Wool spinningPlaying early music on my recorders.Painting and drawing, my passion, in all sorts of media.I love my garden and have pulled down and rebuilt a crumbling dry stone wall (myself), landscaped my stony garden and built a patio. Aims with my garden are to plant lots of flowers, extend the vegetable patch and to relax and enjoy my passion, painting!As painting and creating are my passions, I create and sell my art original work and prints so maintain a shop on Etsy and Amazon. I also use my skills to create stationery for use personal or business use which is also available on Etsy.When I'm not working or creating, I'm spending time with my family relaxing, cooking or visiting favourite antiques shops.
