To help determine timing 📉📈, monitor:✔Current quarterly earnings per share, whether there's sharp increases from the same quarter's earnings reported in the prior year, and if there's items in the financial statements that distort earnings (such as creation of fictitious assets); and✔Annual earnings increases over last 2 years & low debt to equity; and✔New products or management, new events & new highs in share price. This often causes short-term excitement, surges in optimism + subsequent price appreciation; and✔Share float & outstanding stock. Scarce supply & strong demand creates more volatility & potentially higher share prices. When this persists broadly, it signals (as past Fed Chair Alan Greenspan forewarned) "irrational exuberance", especially when companies acquire their own stock instead of cash or other assets; and✔Stocks that are over owned, or borrowed, by institutions (e.g. private equity firms, hedge funds, large asset managers, retail investors). Generally this indicates the trade is crowded; and ✔Media sentiment. It is a barometer for guaging market turning points in pessimism, skepticism, optimism & euphoria; and✔✔Consensus about Free Market Capitalism -vs- Socialism. When Free Market Capitalism is greater for John Q Public, their faith & confidence to participate and invest increases. The paradigm-like shift toward the belief in Free Market Capitalism during President Donald J Trump's term became so unprecedented that it produced a consistent, marked decline of the Federal Reserve's Balance Sheet (FRBS). This secured the US as world leader for growth, safety, ROI, and ROE; and✔✔✔FRBS. It reveals the amount of help our markets receive to both influence and move market direction ↗ ➡ ↘ .
