Joining Thomson Reuters in a Government Affairs Executive position, I was promoted to Head of European Financial Services Government & Regulatory Affairs in 2014, providing key support to leadership decision-making during a period of intense legislative change, including Dodd-Frank implementation and extensive EU financial regulatory reform.I was then promoted again to set up the new Government Affairs APAC function from the ground up. Based in Hong Kong, I travelled extensively across the region, using my industry network to secure buy-in and establish an effective organisational structure, with engagement from key business leaders and regulators. Hired to provide effective representation for Panasonic in industry associations, I also analysed EU parliament and commission developments and legislation, including trade agreements, ICT issues and consumer directives; wrote speeches and position papers.
