Spent about 25 years as a Manufacturing Automation Engineer mostly for the Pharmaceutical and Biopharmaceutical industries. Have excellent management, technical writing, project managing, presentation development and presenter skills, also very knowledgeable in cGMP requirements by the FDA for Computer Systems. My last position I was manageing multi-million dollar projects with many engineers reporting to me. Was responsible for all aspects of Automation Projects. I then, unfortunately developed Degenerative Disk Disease in my back. I left my job for what I thought was going to be one invasive surgery and after recovering would be right back to work. Well life doesn't always work out as planned. That one invasive surgery turned into two. The last being a double Spine Fusion. In between back surgeries I needed an emergency kidney surgery that left me only one kidney. I, unfortunately, have a history of developing stones. Other health issues, nothing fatal, and I believe all fixable. I have my second double spine fusion to be scheduled as soon as the Coronavirus allows. I also have surgeries to both legs tentatively scheduled for 3 months from now. I am sure these surgeries will take away most if not all of my pain and my mobility issues. In the meantime I am ready to get off the bench and start being useful. I have read a lot about remote employees and believe this I can do. So I'm back on the hunt for a technical remote employee position. It, of course, doesn't have to be in Manufacturing Automation and I don't expect it to meet the $118k I made at my last job. It would be nicé to hold a position at least somewhat close to my management experience of 25+ years.Sunshine's Rainbow Arts was a arts and graphic arts endeavor. Some of my creations are pictured below. I enjoy making beautiful and creative things and thought this a perfect fit for my left brained computer nerd and my right brained creative side. Unfortunately, my ability to market my creations and the limited rate I could create them made this endeavor highly unlikely to ever be profitable. I still enjoy my little projects and continue to make them (when I have a home to make them in) but have accepted that this will always be nothing more than an enjoyable hobby.I was CEO of a non-profit for a short time and had lofty goals for this charity. I'm far from done, just on a temporary pause until the next chapter in my life begins.I'm ready to put my skills back to work starting with a remote emplóyee position.

ParticipantSurvival Of Disabilities Jun 2005 - PresentMostly At Home When I Have OneDisabled and Recovering. Have ran into a few snags in my fairytale life. It started back around 2004 with the loss of my health, followed by the loss of my career, the home, then mind. It has been a wild roller coaster ride but it has been an education like no other in my life. The things I've learned are mind blowing. It's funny when I was 18 I knew it all but at 56 I realize I know nothing at all. Everything I once believed was true about my world was a lie and the truth wasn't very pretty. Ok so that learned, what do you do next. I set out to learn all I could about this new, not so pretty, reality of mine. So far, I've barely learned enough to survive but I obviously did learn that because here I am. A bit battered, bruised but here nonetheless. I have a few more months of struggle but I'm going to make it out the other end of this long dark tunnel. I still have plenty of challenges that have followed me out of the tunnel but the one main soul sucking challenge I'll have won. A home and stability! Yeah! Hoorah! I didn't do very well without them. I'm still not doing great without them but somewhere along the way, I learned a little thing called "resilience". What a wonderful thing this resilience is! It means you can find the ever difficult to find bluebird of happiness in the strangest places. I found it once in a slum house owned by a slumlord run by a slum management company. There was more roaches then running water. No hot water at all. The roof didn't have a shingle or tile on it. It had gravel. The single pane windows (those not broken) were more 6like holes in the walls than windows. We could barely afford the electricity to keep the house around 95 degrees when it was 115 outside. Yet I had already found "resilience" so even there I found moments of happiness. I'm starting a new chapter in m iny life and I'm excited! No clue what is to come but I know I will be resilient and therefore, at least at times happy!

OwnerSunshine'S Rainbows Sep 2010 - Mar 2022Mostly At HomeAm still undergoing surgeries for Degenerative Disk Disease so I decided to attempt to start a Graphics Design company. The plan was to design and produce beautiful personal paper products such as stationary, calendars, framed collages, greeting cards, labels, wall decals and many other colorful themed products for the public and also offer custom products using personal pictures. This company combined my left brained technology wisdom and my right brained need for creativity. It was also work I could do while undergoing the seemingly endless surgeries and procedures I needed to stay mobile and to alieve some of the pain of multiple degenerative disks. Problem was in order to be profitable I figured out I'd have to mass produce. That was not the type of product I wanted to make. So it's now a very enjoyable hobby. Next......
