About Jan Janson

I am originally from Lawrence, New York. I attended NYU School of Medicine and then completed my Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine there, as well. I am fortunate enough to have been invited to Duke University Medical Center where I completed my Fellowship in Clinical Gastroenterology. I remained on junior faculty for one year. I am thankful for receiving excellent training in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology and use these skills everyday to help others. I have been in private practice Gastroenterology since 1990 in Virginia Beach, Va.. My goal is to help people everyday in any way I can. I remain active in medical education and in medical politics. I have directed the ACG Annual Post Graduate course in Williamsburg and have served on the board of and as president of the VGS. I am currently the VGS delegate to the MSV. I participate in administration of healthcare in my practice and development of clinical performance in our local Quality Network.
