I have an extensive background leading local public and mental health services in 3 counties- two in Oregon and one in NY. I have led or participated in the development of numerous programs to benefit local residents. These projects included establishing a Drug Court, starting up housing and vocational programs, starting up a Federally Qualified Health Center, and establishing a non-profit agency to provide mandated mental health/public health services under contract to local government.My experience includes leadership positions in professional organizations in NY, Oregon, and national. Most recently I worked for the State Public Health Division in Oregon providing liaison services to local health departments as well as technical assistance and problem solving regarding contracts and regulatory issues. Duties also included facilitating conflict resolution between local health departments and state programs.Family priorities necessitate my being based in the Portland area but I am available for travel on a regular basis. Over the past two years I have paid visits to virtually all county health departments in Oregon.
