- Contribute to the development, design, build and testing of Ontario's PRESTO transit payment system, especially with respect to accessibility. - Provide advice re: accessibility and compliance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) with respect to all of PRESTO's service channels, including: fare payment devices, self-serve kiosks, website, mobile app and more.- Identify opportunities for new technology that improves customer accessibility and experience.- Identify and mitigate accessibility risks associated with new technology options.- Define, develop and update policies, standards, and procedures.

Duties include:- Manage staff, students, etc. assigned to projects- Manage and maintain relationships with multiple external project collaborators (including other universities, private sector organizations, governments, etc.). - Develop, maintain and execute research project plans.- Prepare periodic reports- Undertake original research on a variety of ICT accessibility related topics- Consult to external clients (including other universities, private sector organizations, governments, etc.) regarding ICT accessibility and the implications of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).- Participate as an editor and/or member of relevant standards working groups- Write papers and present results at conferences, in journals and over the Internet.- Report potentially significant ideas and areas of research.- Generate, or help define ideas and areas of research that would benefit ICT accessibility, and utilize the skills of the project team.
