Writing about the Chinese crypto-scams-slave industry and lack of crypto regulations since early 2021. This was after becoming among the earliest outside China to fall for so-called 'pig butchering scams', which I was the first to translate and expose on Reddit. To better advocate for scams and human trafficking victims of Chinese cyber-scam syndicates, I co-founded a non-profit, GASO. Our exposes on the scams and human trafficking crisis made it to 70+ major media outlets worldwide in 2022. I later consulted on the crypto aspect of the pig butchering scams crisis for the United States Institute of Peace (USIP) and the Global Initiative against Transnational Organized Crime (GITOC). I am now a senior consultant for Norwegian blockchain forensics firm Chainbrium.com and am on the advisory board of a startup still in stealth mode.My articles are on Reddit, GASO website and now, a Substack blog called The Coin Dryer, with some op eds on The Diplomat and SecurityMatters.ph.
