In my position as Service Development Manager I was instructing managers worldwide how to increase the business of services Imtech Marine was offering. Mainly done remotely (phone, email, video conference) as well by visiting the local branches worldwide in Europe and Asia.

As Branch Manager for Radio Holland/Imtech Marine, I am responsible for the branch in Trinidad and Tobago and its region. Managing a multidisciplinary team, existing of Engineering-, Sales-, Service- and Administration staff and responsible for the complete P&L.We increased our local customer portfolio and our turnover by showing our customer that we are their solution provider rather than equipment- or service provider only.Internal structure was created also by automating the Radio Holland stockroom for an more efficient track and trace of (spare-)parts and equipment.

For my bachelor degree I did a feasibility study for the realization of an industrial wireless network for an oil company in the dessert. The purpose of the network was transmitting all process information from the well to the control room at the central processing plant. Besides this study I did a lot of installation and repair work on board vessels as well workshop repairs, all on marine navigation and communication equipment.
