- Starting up and establish a new laboratory for microbiology, the first of PHARMAQ Analytiq AS. - Responsible for the new lab and associated rooms. This includes quality verification and maintenance of instruments.- Performing microbiological analyses and give feedback about results to the customers.- In cooperation with the lab manager, resolve any issues we might face regarding HMS, QA and lab operations.- Monitor the availability of media, chemicals, etc. - Oversight of lab procedures and keep the applied protocols/techniques updated.- Building a new in-house biodatabase for fish pathogens.

As a microbiologist and molecular biologist I examined neutrophile, microaerobic iron oxidizers in the Norwegian Sea. I focussed on their presence, growth conditions and how their phylogeny compares with other iron oxidizers from around the world. In addition, I studied other iron mat-associated bacterial groups along the Mid-Atlantic Ridge.

During the 2 years of my Masters years (120 ESP) I took Microbiology as my major focus and biomedicin as a minor. For my thesis, I studied 'rK selection in microbial gut colonization' at the Centre of Ecological and Evolutionary Synthesis, University of Oslo as an Erasmus exchange student. I graduated with honour on July the first, 2012.
