    For an optimized system layout of future generations of electrolyzer systems, high resolution load profiles are crucial to take into account dynamic behavior of electricity supply.In my master thesis, I developed wind park and PV park generation profiles at a resolution of 1 minute. For this, I created Python models of large-scale renewable generation sites applicable for locations worldwide, both onshore as well as offshore. I applied down-sampled weather data on these models to create site-specific generation profiles that take the spatial extent of generation sites into account.Results show the frequency and amplitude of large ramps affecting electrolyzer systems.

    During my research semester in the IER, it was my goal to develop universal algorithms for dynamic load management in increasingly electrified heating systems -- mainly through the increasing use of heat pumps. Therefore, I used the existing eSIRA (electrical SImulation for Residential Areas) tool which is based on MCMC (Monte-Carlo-Markov-Chain) simulation for household loads, heating demand and onsite PV production. eSIRA provides data for different scenarios such as a varying renovation pace of building stock as well as different intensities of PV production (2020, 2030, 2050).The algorithms I implemented led to a reduction in yearly maximum power drawn from the grid by an average of 10 % and an increase of internal consumption rate by a minimum of 20 % in all analysed scenarios.
