I am a certified teacher of meditation and mindfulness, under a course accredited by the International Mindfulness Teachers Association. I am also the founder of Devshishu, a social enterprise that was created with a mission of bringing the immense benefits of meditation and mindfulness to, and transform the lives of as many people as possible.I have been practicing meditation and mindfulness for over 22 years, and offer programs and counselling services based on mindfulness to children, youth, adults and families. I also provide consulting services to educational institutions, international corporates, and developmental organizations. I have helped people to overcome addictive behaviors, unhealthy habits, reduce their anger, depression and other emotional issues, improve their sleep and overall, lead healthier and happier lives through mindfulness-based programs and counselling.The programs and coaching services that I offer are based on modern research and studies on mindfulness and neuroscience, while being rooted in the ancient traditions of spirituality. They are deep and powerful, yet simple, practical, interactive and engaging to the learners.Students have reported that post sessions, they feel calmer, more relaxed, appreciate and enjoy life more, develop resilience and are better-equipped to face life challenges, and overall, experience improved well-being.Note: I am not aligned with any particular religion and believe in secular spirituality.My shift from a finance career to meditation and spirituality -A Chartered Accountant by qualification, I was formerly a successful finance professional with around 15 years of experience with the corporate MNCs. During my corporate career, I suffered intense stress and burnout and had to be hospitalized. It was at this time that I resorted to meditation and mindfulness to heal myself. Consequently, my stress reduced significantly, and was replaced by a deep calm, acceptance and serenity.This inner peace and joy that I discovered within myself, led me to quit my lucrative career as a Chartered Accountant, and pursue my inner calling to become a teacher of mindfulness and help improve people’s lives. To spread this beautiful message and joy to others also, especially the youth, became my mission in life.
