Exceptionally driven multidisciplinary R&D scientist with 2 years of experience in developping next-generation lab tools under an ISO-13485 controlled process and a total of 7 years of experience in cutting edge multidisciplinary research.At my time at Fluidic Analytics, I was involved in the product development under ISO 9001 and ISO 13485. I developed complex workflows to showcase next generation microfluidic laboratory instrument. I designed and implemented protein-protein interaction assays and produced data for two key applications in the areas of neurodegenerative and infectious diseases.During my PhD, I developed automated micro-robotic systems to characterize the cytomechanics of individual plant cells and plant tissues and to study how single cells perceive, react, and adapt to external mechanical stimuli. To successfully complete these highly interdisciplinary projects, I collaborated and coordinated between mechanical engineers, plant biologist and computational experts. I had the pleasure of presenting my scientific results at various international conferences.Prior to my PhD, I studied Nanosciences at the University of Basel, where I obtained the BSc and the MSc with the major in physics. Following a two-month project in a theoretical quantum computing group, I worked on my master’s thesis at the Center for Cellular Imaging and NanoAnalytics (C-CINA, University of Basel). I completed my master’s thesis on the development of a protein separation and aggregation system to study proteins associated with neurodegenerative diseases in February 2015.
