The In-Voc Program is a specialist vocational rehabilitation service that supports people with a new or established spinal cord injury (SCI) to explore work, study or volunteering options. The program is a service stream of the NSW Spinal Outreach Service based at Royal Rehab and consists of a small team of Occupational Therapists and Rehabilitation Counsellors.•Client Readiness Assessment and Interpretation: In-Voc Readiness to Work scale • Vocational Counselling: Supported clients develop self-awareness and opportunity awareness • Work Readiness Support: Supported clients with course enrolment support, study support, work experience volunteering placements, mentoring/internship programs, job shadowing• Job Seeking Skills Training: Resume, LinkedIn, cover letters, disability disclosure, interview skills • Same Employer Support: Identified of barriers and solutions, employer/education visits, facilitate workplace modifications and equipment provision.• Peer Engagement: Used media or in-person meet-ups opportunity awareness and hope• School Transition: Supported to school-aged clients to transition back to school • Collaborative Working: Partnered with SIU’s multi-disciplinary team to promote the value of work, relevance of early career planning and integration of vocational rehabilitation goals Achievements:• Contributed to Early Intervention VR following SCI research (2019-2021)• Developed digital and in-person In-Voc career development workshops (2018-2022)
