I started out my dip into education with my volunteering with the organization Girls On the Run. This organization educates young girls about the emotional and social issues they may encounter during their middle school years, combined with running. I have also previously worked as an Assistant Teacher for two years with the Visual Art Center of New Jersey. During my time there, I worked with all ages from 4 year olds to 16 year olds. As a part of my job I helped facilitate learning between the students and teachers. I also volunteered over the summer at the Elizabeth Coalition as a summer camp counselor. This volunteering brought together children from low income homes who could not afford to be sent to summer camp. Myself, along with the other volunteers, played with the children and did crafts.
