Prioritisation of, and advocacy for, the student academic experience - through our regulations and administration, systems and business processes. Particular focus on student onboarding (transition into UofG, registration and enrolment) and assessment management. Particular interest in curriculum management solutions and provision of digital assessment/exams.

As business owner of the systems/solutions forming the student digital experience, worked as an internal consultant to colleagues across Student & Academic Services to understand long-term and evolving needs and requirements and act as a product owner in the relationship with IT Services.Development of a governance framework for the identification and prioritisation of projects in the context of the University IT investment strategy and larger transformational projects.The vision was subsumed by my role in addressing strategic and operational priorities in student-focused academic services such as assessment and enrolment management during the Covid-19 pandemic:Leadership and implementation of the University's pandemic exam/assessment arrangements and No Detriment Policy - development of systems, processes and associated guidance for staff and students.Management and coordination of cross-University response to remote registration and enrolment, and of multiple additional cohort intakes - collating requirements and delivering solutions across multiple systems and processes.

Strategic responsibility for leading and managing to the development and support of the University's student information systems (Oracle Campus Solutions).Creating a vision for the development and support of the student information system in the context of the University’s Strategic Plan ensuring that resources are allocated in line with the strategic, business and user requirements whilst providing necessary support for the business-as-usual activities including legislative and regulatory, over the short to medium term:Developing a vision of what Campus Solutions should provide by 2020Developing a framework for decision-making and prioritisation in respect of projects and resources and a schedule for change with an agreed approach to delivery of projects.Managing a programme of technical and functional upgrades to PeopleTools and Campus Solutions to bring the system up to date with the latest developments from Oracle and provide the basis from which to develop an improved end-user self-service (and 'back office') experience for both staff and students - the major new release of Campus Solutions, Campus Solutions 9.2 (PeopleTools 8.55) by mid 2017.

The objective of the EMEA HEUG is to advance the use and support of the Oracle application products in University teaching, research, administrative and management functions, through a variety of means including but not limited to:• To provide a forum for the sharing of information, expertise and experience on the selection, implementation, and effective use of Oracle Applications products;• To provide a forum for presentations from Oracle management, developers and business partners to keep the EMEA HEUG informed as to changes in direction, product plans and other areas of concern;• To maintain a mechanism for establishing, and communicating to Oracle Corporation and to the Higher Education User Group (HEUG), users' collective priorities for the future development direction and enhancement of the Oracle product set, with the objective of ensuring their continuous improvement;• To maintain a robust and effective communications channel with Oracle Corporation regarding their Product set, their upgrade and support; and• Developing relationships with key members of the Higher Education sector.

Acting as an aide to the President as part of the Executive Team on the Board of Directors; Chairing the Higher Education Product Council and the annual Advisory Group Summit;Coordinating the annual advisory group planning cycle;Working with Oracle Strategists and General Managers on product related issues that will benefit HEUG’s Members; Mentoring members of the Board of Directors working with the various Advisory Groups. Project management & directorship of a successful 2 year project to replace the University's student information system and improve process efficiency.In excess of 30,000 customers including applicants, students, central administration departments and academic staff - implementing new systems and processes (admissions, registration, enrolment, tuition calculation, financial aid processing, records maintenance (transfers/withdrawals/suspensions).Preparation of business case, plans, structure, documentation, risk and issue logs and reporting, training plan, schedule and materials (UPK).Process and system evaluation requiring knowledge and understanding of how the University operates and how requirements can be met.
