Providing “at the shoulder advice” on environmental consents for various development clients and main works contractors, delivering major infrastructure.

Part of the consents team for the Balfour Beatty, Morgan Sindall and Bam Nutall JV delivering the west section of the Thames Tideway Tunnel, leading on River Regulator Consents.

I provided pragmatic sustainability advice at all stages of a project - ensuring that commitments made at the planning stage could be translated into workable and cost-effective design elements and management initiatives through the lifetime of a development.I co-ordinated the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process and prepared Environmental Statements for major mixed use developments and infrastructure projects.

I was responsible for managing consents and Statements of Common Ground with environmental stakeholders (Environment Agency, English Heritage and Natural England). In addition, I provided support to the Environment Manager and EIA team in the successful delivery of the ES and other environmental studies required for the DCO submission.

I acted as a technical editor for the Preliminary Environmental Information Report prepared as part of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for the proposed Thames Tideway Tunnel. The role included editing and summarising technical assessments into documents suitable for use in public consultation.

I held the position of Engineering Scientist and my project experience included; noise & vibration surveys, air quality assessments, odour surveys, EIA’s, natural resources management plans, pollution prevention opportunity assessments, waste minimisation studies, ecological monitoring & energy audits. Clients included: Lincoln City Council, the Environment Agency, US Army in Europe, US Air Force in Europe, and the Abu Dabi National Oil Company (ACNOC).
