Jane has worked in the environmental regulation, salinity, water source protection and water recycling fields for the past 27 years in a number of positions in government. She has recently moved to the private sector as Manager of Environmental Approvals for Enveng Group. Previously she was Acting Manager, Industry Regulation Reform where Jane is involved in drafting the Environmental Protection Regulations, updating associated guidelines, fact sheets and consultation involved in new regulation and other internal reform work.Jane has previously been Manager of the Industry Regulation Business Service Unit, primarily managing internal auditing, systems and fee regulation.She has worked on a range of projects ranging from mining, industrial and waste areas. She has specialised in the water sector working in the Waste Sector of Industry Regulation Branch working primarily on treated wastewater, irrigation and all matters relating to this area. However having worked in a number of different area she mentors other officers in both the Process and Resources Sectors.Jane has been involved in the recycling and reuse of treated wastewater and a number of State and National inter-agency working groups relating to this. Jane's key responsibilities are to provide leadership and mentoring to Environmental Officers which includes responding to queries from more junior officers. Jane has a key role in developing and applying environmental policies, codes of practice and regulatory instruments to manage a range of environmental issues; She advises, negotiates and liaises with industry, local government, government departments and community groups on environmental management and regulation issues; Jane investigates (including field work) and advises on the environmental performance of specific activities and programs; She prepares reports, briefing notes and relevant documentation associated with environmental management and regulation issues.Researches, analyses and complies information to enable the development, implementation and review of policies, codes of practice and regulations.
