A 10 Acre woodland with huge potential. I wrote the woodland plan, and am implementing it. In the winter months I run Logs4Labour with Fowlshatch as the base. In the summer, I use the woods for recreational activities and watching wildlife. Run-Forest-Run is an 11km adventure run in November each year that includes an obstacle circuit of Fowlshatch. The long term aim is to improve biodiversity and write a book about it.

Leading on Strategy for Climate and Environment across two local authorities in Hampshire UK. 2020-2022, authoring and consulting to develop the Climate and Environment Strategy, embedding low-carbon outcomes for the organisation, and using council influence to foster the changes we must see in regeneration, active travel and behaviour change. Convening a network of community groups to share best approaches . Collaborating with other local authorities to improve carbon literacy for carbon literacy in all decision making in the public sector.

Providing tailored advice on energy efficiency and optimal investment in community buildings of all shapes, sizes, age and construction. Leading a small team to undertake energy and sustainability audits and prepare best investment analysis. Working with Dr James Pendlebury (CEO, Forest Research) to deliver a culture change in the public sector research establishment (PSRE). The remit covers the whole of UK public Service Forestry: Forestry Commission England, Scotland and Wales, also the Northern Ireland Forest Service. Achievements: Launch and funding for C-Cure Solutions Limited, the first spin-out company from the FC; successful business supported in replacements of pesticides for the control of Hylobius (a pest), delivery of sustainable laminated timber bridge designs and promotion of the use of acoustic properties of timber to enhance quantity of higher grade UK grown timber.Also designed and delivered a training programme to establish approriate skills competancies across the organisation in collaboration with the Environment Agency and HM Treasury.

Working with the academic Head, Prof. Colin Grant running the admin, finance and technical support aspects of a diverse academic group. 1,700 students and 54 degree programmes, the activity represented about a fifth of the University's activity. Achievements included restructuring the school support areas, negotiating the merger with Guildford School of Acting (GSA) with Prof. John Turner, DVC and initiating the delivery of a £10M teaching theatre on campus in Guildford.

Achievements: DTT chip for Freeview, automated subtitling using speech recognition and asserting the BBC's position on NICAM and 'the red button' interactive TV. Also responsible for Finance, HR, H&S technical library and support frunctions.
