 Tutor for Level 2 and Level 3 Early Years courses Leading the planning, delivery and assessment for T Level Education and Early Years, including ensuring full compliance with awarding organisation quality processes Adapting delivery schedules and covering additional assessment to ensure that reduced staffing did not impact on student success Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) for Level 2 and 3 childcare and health and social care courses as well as supporting work-based learning and apprenticeship team, to complete IQA for Level 2 and Level 3 Early Years prior to end point assessment Supporting colleagues internally and externally across the UK with the transition to T Level, engaging in both 1-1 support and wider professional development collaborative activities Engaging with cross-college CPD, developing knowledge and understanding of various aspects of the T Level qualification and supporting colleagues by cascading the information at regular meetings Creating inclusive, accurate and professional teaching sessions and resources to support delivery Proactively liaising with placement providers to develop their understanding of the T Level qualification and being the point of contact for queries or support Supporting the recruitment of new students onto the T Level qualification by being a positive advocate of T Level education Providing pastoral care for the students in the cohorts and liaising with parents regarding progress Mentoring two new colleagues in the early years and care team and providing ongoing support to them and other staff members as required. Also mentoring a PGCE student supporting her professional development in session planning, resourcing and teaching Providing ongoing support to a tutor in the early stages of T Level delivery at a college in Shropshire, a role I have gained a lot of personal satisfaction from undertaking Maintaining accurate tracking documents to support students’ progress including logging placement hours as well as keeping a record of assignment progress for taught units both for individual students and the cohort I aim to keep up to date with industry and educational developments and debates such as issues around supporting students’ mental health, having seen a significant increase in learners requiring additional support to fulfil their potential and achieve their goals Experience in negotiating more positive outcomes and instigating necessary changes to practice
