The Ecoefficiency Group was established in February 2013 by former members of The Working Group for Cleaner Production at the University of Queensland. We specialise in environmental management and eco-efficiency services for industry. Our aim is to help industry profit from better environmental management. • We help businesses identify and implement environmentally sustainable practices both for individual production processes and across supply chains. • We support industry in their use of environmental management tools (environmental auditing, cleaner production /eco-efficiency, life cycle assessment, public reports and sustainability assessment). • We assist government agencies and industry associations in their promotion of environmental sustainability to industry, through the development of high quality information resources and self-assessment tools. The Ecoefficiency Group understands that businesses are at varying stages of their sustainability journey. We also understand that to make lasting change, staff need to be engaged and encouraged to participate. So, we make a point of tailoring services to suit business needs. As part of the ecoBiz team with the Australian Centre for Sustainable Business and Development (ACSBD) at the University of Southern Queensland, I develop resources to assist Queensland businesses to improve their environmental performance through ecoefficiency measures.I develop and deliver workshops and webinars on various ecoefficiency topics.

As part of the Working Group for Cleaner Production at The University of Queensland my projects included development of Green Labs program for The University of Queensland and the development of eco-efficiency resources for the food processing, foundry and general manufacturing industries. I developed and annually review the EarthCheck carbon calculator for the CRC for Sustainable Tourism, now EC3 Global. I worked with the Australian dairy industry to prepare a Greenhouse Gas Inventory and the 2007/08 Sustainability Report. I have compiled factsheets for small business, cafés and shops and assessed and developed Water Efficiency Management Plans for various industries. I set up the website www.ecoefficiency.com.au on behalf of the Queensland Government which holds the publications developed by the Working Group for Cleaner Production for the manufacturing industry.
