As a result of my extensive media education and experience, I have the capability and confidence to produce relevant content for whatever publication and platform at hand. I thrive in production spaces and newsrooms that buzz with ideas and excitement for storytelling.Through obtaining a master’s degree in multimedia journalism, I am thoughtful about journalism and how to report in communities in a collaborative, engaged way. I have experience seeing how effective storytelling can create real change; good journalism has the ability to get someone aware of something they didn’t know they cared about. I have the technical and abstract skills to effectively get a message across. I am proficient in capturing photo, audio, and video, as well as editing work in Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and After Effects. My bachelor's degree in print journalism taught me excellent skills for successful interviewing, clean writing, and powerful reporting. I have strong organizational and adaptability skills, and I am comfortable creating great things on a quick deadline.And most importantly, I am always excited to engage with those around me– whether it’s team members or audiences– to make everything a bit more fun. I love working in a positive, creative environment with positive, creative people. I am happy to support my team in whatever way I can, from a technical skill to running an errand.
