I was previously an Associate Director within ERM's Onshore Renewables Team. This role was based within a multi-disciplinary and collaborative consultancy team that provided landscape, photography and visualisation, heritage, planning, ecology, acoustic, hydrology, and engineering support. Principal Landscape Architect at JFA Environmental Planning, a specialised multi-disciplinary practice with both ecologists and landscape architects, which provides a client focused environmental consultancy service through out the south east. Directly responsible for client interface and work programming for junior staff.I have written LVA and LVA for proposed solar parks, commercial and/or residential development in Cambridge, Essex, Bedfordshire, Kent and Sussex. These sites have been located within policy constrained and valued landscapes such as Green Belt, AONBs' & National Parks and their settings.Residential schemes have included an Abercrombie designed Garden Village extension and regeneration scheme near Dover, brownfield development, and a new residential scheme in Sussex now approaching build out. Urban developments include South Eden Park in Beckenham and Wick Lane in Stratford both incorporating podium landscapes. These schemes have required detail design and the discharge of Reserved Matters. Some schemes have needed negotiation with LPA, AONB Units or other stakeholder engagement.Another project involved the detailed restoration and aftercare strategy for a quarry complex with a SSSI to a mosaic of habitats. Part time positions during career break to bring up my children. I had a series of positions including medical receptionist and dispensing assistant. My duties included: opening up in the morning, processing prescriptions and dispensing medication (taking payment as necessary), booking appointments and passing on messages to and from the doctors’ to patients. I used the EMIS Clinical Programme to perform administrative duties within the practice.

Free-lance consultancy work for Tarmac Quarry Products, Biffa Waste and Robert Hitchens Homes Ltd. This work entailed: preparing: master-plans; planting plans; and management schedules for new woodland and heathland creation; and issuing payment certificates for soft landscape contractors.

A semi-autonomous role providing landscape and planning support to multi-disciplinary teams in relation to specific quarries (many with SSSI status), sand and gravel operations, and land-fill sites around the UK. I worked in a small, multi-disciplinary team of geologists, ecologists, and hydrologists preparing representations for omission sites, environmental statements and planning studies. Responsibilities included:• Client liaison and preparation of fee quotations;• Preparation of environmental and visual appraisal reports;• Quarry development and long-term restoration strategies for sites; and• Preparation of habitat creation and management plans.

Project landscape architect for twenty four varied community based landscape projects, often requiring grant application and local community liaison and volunteer group organisation.
