I am a chartered landscape architect with over 18 years of varied experience: in private practice; Tarmac and Biffa Waste; local authority; and Groundwork (an environmental charity). I have experience working in landscape and mineral planning, EIA and LVIA production, contract implementation, and management and stakeholder engagement. Most of the work I undertake is in policy-constrained and valued landscapes and I am used to negotiating with (and satisfying the requirements of) consultees and stakeholders such as Natural England, The Highland Council, the National Park Authorities, and National Landscape Units. Ramboll's combination of environmental, engineering, and landscape expertise means that we can take on a wide variety of projects and create sustainable and resilient landscape solutions that comply with and exceed regulatory requirements for BNG. Most of the landscape planning work we do is in relation to renewable energy projects, either on-shore or off-shore wind, solar farms, transmission routes and BESS; however, we also provide townscape assessments and support with commercial developments such as data centres. We can provide a wide range of consultancy support including: site appraisal/ feasibility studies for opportunities and constraints; DCO; LVIA (Landscape Visual Impact Assessment); design and contract administration; and landscape and ecology management plans. We have a particularly strong background in providing input to strategic planning and providing Expert Witness support for clients at Public Inquiry. We also have extensive experience in working on Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIP) and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA).If you would like to discuss a proposal and how we may assist you, please get in touch.
