Operations Coordinator for WildTeam UK. "Changing the game for nature". A conservation charity focusing primarily on tigers in te mangrove forests of Bangladesh.

Coordinating a variety of exciting, new projects based at our Change Academy in Newton Abbot. Also working on new project conception, development and funding.

Working mainly as the contract coordinator for the National Citizen Service programme NCS Southwest consortium, but also working with other projects such as Clubs for Young People.

I co-developed and project managed these social enterprises from initial ideas through to fully functional businesses. As the Operations Manager I focussed mainly on the processes and detail behind the ideas - however, I played an active part in the strategic development of both The Eco Business and Third Sector Works. I worked closely with the web designer to develop the branding and image for the business (www.theecobusiness.co.uk) and was beginning to develop the social media networking using Twitter, and Facebook before funding was lost and I was made redundant.

As Development Manager for TTS I had the unique opportunity to play a very strong role in developing social enterprises from the initial idea, all the way through to the creation of the fully-functional business.My key acheivement in this role was the opening of Hugg Frozen Yoghurt store in Exeter.I Project Managed this business from the idea discussions right through to the launch. Work included - brand design, product selection and menu implementation, business locationi and premises acquisition, management of refurbishment contractors and outfitting including purchasing and deciding on equipment, marketing strategy and materials (design assistance and distribution), assistance in website design (www.huggfrozenyoghurt.co.uk), planning launch event (guest speakers, catering, marketing), recruitment of staff and staff training.The opening of the outlet was a huge success and something I am very proud to have been a part of.One of my projects as Development Manager was to set up and project manage the social enterprise Hugg Frozen Yoghurt (www.huggfrozenyoghurt.co.uk) in the newly developed Princesshay Shopping Centre in Exeter, Devon.

I volunteered with the Plymouth Branch of BTCV while I was studying at university, and also for a few months once I had graduated. I took part in practical conservation tasks around the local area, and learnt a lot of new skills which added to my CV and helped me to secure my role at Dawlish Warren NNR.During the Summer 2003 I became a Volunteer Officer: coordinating the other volunteers, training and developing volunteer opportunities.
