I facilitated a regular figure drawing studio at the museum. I also took part in some of the Artist Alliance Member functions.

Active member of a group of painters who met and painted together at various sites. Participated in many group shows that resulted in sales to collectors. Contributed an original image to The Olmsted Park Conservancy in Louisville which they used for calendars, postcards, and other advertising.

Voting member of the Board for four years and held the title of secretary for two. Organized a yearly Science and Engineering Fair in which teachers, students, parents, mentors, and Board members came together to celebrate STEM programs and cultivate a love for learning in everyone. Voting member of the LVAA Board for ten years. Mission was to engage the community with education, outreach, artist support, and exhibitions. In charge of a fundraising event in which $175,000 in scholarship awards were raised in one evening for the University of Louisville Hite Institute. Regular exhibitor in the annual art auction and contributed art to the LVAA catalogues and advertising campaigns.

Voting member of the Board for five years and held the position of Board President for the full term of one year. During Presidential term oversaw the organization of the Board, lead in the hiring of a new director, managed the funds with the treasurer, and oversaw the direction of this non-profit organization that supports students in all aspects of stage production.

Implemented the Great Books teaching methods to help young people in my community develop a love of literature and reading. Completed training as a Great Books instructor for both elementary and middle school levels. Taught middle school writing courses that equipped students with the tools and techniques they needed to better prepare them for high school and college level courses.
