Jane has an undergraduate degree in English Language and Literature and a MPhil in Publishing Studies, along with qualifications in marketing and PR. She is a Chartered Marketer and is a member of the Chartered Institute for Public Relations.On graduating, she gained a marketing role with a publisher in Edinburgh and, gradually realising that her interests lay with communication and marketing generally rather than publishing per se, studied for Chartered Institute of Marketing qualifications. She then went on to further marketing and communications roles in the higher education and publishing sectors, joining Queen Margaret University (then Queen Margaret University College) as Director of Marketing and Communications in 2005. She has also studied at Queen Margaret herself, having completed the Chartered Institute of Public Relations Diploma there in 2009. As well as marketing and communications, she leads on development and alumni relations at QMU.Jane enjoys combining her skills in marketing and PR to integrate marketing and communications,.
