Highly experienced and passionate in supporting organisations through the embedding of their values (and ethics programmes) as they seek to develop healthy and positive corporate cultures. Working in the board room, with Executive Teams, leaders, managers and frontline employees, I help them to find ways of bring values and ethics to life. I believe that people will willingly take responsibility for their own behaviours, decisions and actions when they understand what the ‘corporate’ ambition is, what the values are that underpin achieving it, and how they can contribute. At the heart of my contribution is connecting the dots between seemingly disconnected activity to provide insights into the health of a ‘culture’. From insights come a clearer view of what needs to be tackled, whether it’s clarity of purpose and goals, values, leadership behaviour, decision-making, iquality of communication. There is never one answer, and being able to get under the skin of the organisation determines the way forward. I set up JL&M in 2005 after years working in Broadcasting and Communications and work with clients who all have the courage to tackle these difficult issues, such as Rolls-Royce, BAE Systems, BP, SERCO, Meggitt, BT, Co-operative Bank, Tesco, Airbus. My career started at the BBC in London, working on Tomorrow’s World, Grange Hill and Blue Peter. Here I developed my passion for great communication and experienced the value of mutual respect and great teamwork. In the 1980’s I ran BISFA, forerunner of the IVCA, the first trade body for corporate organisations and corporate production companies. I then moved back into production of award-winning corporate films and videos at The Moving Picture Company and Hawkshead, then part of Guardian Media Group. In the 90’s, I focused on developing strategic approaches to Internal Communications and Employee Engagement. I now combine this experience and expertise in the world of values and ethics.
