Was involved in next generation ASIC development with both high and low level specifications. ASIC verification activities took place using QFP socket with the ASIC reading out sensor data. The verification activity was performed by the use of Microcontroller read-out and Python scripts and analog measurements using an Oscilloscope. On the sensor side, the development consisted of evaluating various Flexible Printed Circuits (FPCs) to assemble the ASIC with the fingerprint sensor. This work consisted of working with suppliers providing layout gerber files, performing DFM and follow up on produced FPCs with complete sensor modules. The advanced sensor technology required finely tuned parameters both on ASIC and sensor level in order to provide high quality fingerprint imaging.Product development also consisted of investigating competitors and patents. New suppliers and partners were set up to ensure the total product specification was met. Involved in sensor production test solution development and setting up sensor product Datasheet and Application notes. Was also part of product characterization, verification activities and follow up on production yield. All of these were activities that highlighted overall understanding of the product development in the company. Show less
