One of the PR industry's most experienced and respected professionals, Jane has run agencies in New Zealand and the UK and co-founded Anthem in early 2014. The NZ Listener’s Influentials issue has named Jane “the doyenne of the small cadre of PR women with serious clout”. “Smart and well-connected” the Influentials' states, Jane utilises her extensive industry experience to provide strategic input to clients and governance oversight to the agency. Jane is skilled at strategic reputation management, assisting directors and company senior executives plan their stakeholder engagement, integrated communications and corporate affairs management. In the 1990s she ran a top-ten marcomms agency in London, before becoming trade commissioner for New Zealand Trade & Enterprise in Paris. Jane now combines her private and public sector and international focus to assist companies and organisations manage stakeholder interaction critical to achieving key outcomes. She enjoys designing bespoke programmes to significantly enhance reputation.Anthem was originally set up to address a gap in the market, between traditional agencies and strategic consultancies. Research revealed clients were looking for nimble, agile agencies who could provide sound strategic thinking resulting in great integrated work, at pace and for a competitive price. Jane and her partner Carolyn aim to continuously adapt and innovate the business and Anthem’s offering in line with the needs of its clients and the wider business community.A strong advocate for staff engagement and people centred company culture, Jane’s previous agency, Porter Novelli, was named amongst the top five best small workplaces in New Zealand during Jane's tenure as Managing Director. An advocate for diversity in leadership, Jane has served as a board member of Global Women, and coaches aspiring female leaders. She was on the Governance Group of DiverseNZ Inc, an initiative focusing on gender and ethnic diversity in leadership which morphed into the Champions for Change. A breast cancer survivor, Jane was previously a director of the Breast Cancer Foundation and promotes early detection. She has held several other governance roles including Parachute Music and the Robin Hood Foundation.
