Janet has more than 20 years of professional experience in the banking and healthcare industries – 11 of those years with BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, demonstrating excellent skills in client management, relationship building, issue resolution, negotiation, consensus building, and customer service. She is accomplished working with all levels of leadership and staff throughout the organization. Janet is known for having strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively. She possesses sound analytical skills with the ability to understand and communicate complex issues across multiple disciplines. Prior to joining Shared Health, Janet has held direct and cross-functional leadership roles working with the operational business owners and senior leadership for BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee and as a Relationship Manager in the Private Banking industry. Her experience with BCBST includes Government Business and Emerging Markets as part of the Finance bid team responding to request for proposals from CMS, other procurement efforts, managing the Corporate Planning & Oversight Committee processes along with other project vetting and reporting responsibilities while in the Project Management Office. Janet was also selected as a member of the 2014 Corporate Mentoring program with BCBST.Janet graduated cum laude from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance. Janet was selected for membership in Beta Gamma Sigma – the honor society for collegiate schools of business and has served on the University of Tennessee Alumni Association Board. She is also a member of the Chattanooga Women’s Leadership Institute (CWLI).
